Tales from the Crypt Lake-A day in the life of Brett Beadle

Brett and I went on the 16 Km Crypt Lake hike in Waterton. He said it was voted Best Hike in Canada for National Geographic in '81. Crypt Lake is at the top of the mountain and it was a 3.5 hour hike to the top.

To get to the trail we had to take a boat across the lake and this is where Brett began shooting for his soundslide that will probaly end up on his blog.

The beginning of the hike was all up hill and Brett was the leader.

I was trying to shoot Brett taking a shot, but he saw me in the reflection of his LCD screen, so my attempt was ruined.

Brett enjoys a ham and cheese sandwich that I packed for our lunches. I think at this point he might have been a little annoyed of my telephoto in his face.

At the top of the mountain we had to walk on the narrow path to a tunnel that we had to walk with a crouch through.

Here is view from the steep mountain side. The lake was only a few minutes from here.

Brett found the lake and a stick and toured around the lake and took photos of people fishing. I was too tired to participate and just wondered where he got his energy. This is where I ate my sandwich.

This was the only photo that I ever took of Brett where I was in front, probaly because we were on our way down.

Charla, it was a fantastic hike, and I'm glad we did it. Much better than hanging out at Leo's for the day. Nice shot of me eating the sandwich, I am glad you didn't put the banana shot in.
